EITB.com reports today that a bull jumped into the stands at a bullfight in Spain on Wednesday, terrorizing fans and severely injuring a young boy.
The terrifying incident happened in Tafalla, in the northern region of Navarra, and occurred when the animal leapt over the fence and climbed up the stairs of the stands knocking over people, including young children.
A 10-year-old boy was in a serious condition with stomach wounds while another spectator was gored in the back. The incident occurred during a contest of recortadores when brave participants attempt to dodge the bull as it runs frantically around the arena.
Spectators and officials later tied a rope around the bull to get it under control … the animal was removed from the arena by a crane and later killed.
The incident comes at an extremely inopportune time for proponents of bullfighting in Spain, as noted by EITB:
Last month Catalonia became the first major Spanish region to ban the deadly sport after heated debate that pitted animal rights against a pillar of traditional culture. The ban will take effect from 2010 in the northeastern coastal region whose capital is Barcelona.
With the recent ban in Catalonia, the future of bullfighting in Spain - at least in its current state in the rest of the country - may well rest with the recovery of the victims of this attack.

Tragic story out of Spain, but if Brooks is looking to foster the “anti-bullfighting” sentiment, he might want to remove the online advertisement for the upcoming PBR event. It has a rodeo clown and a boy with the image of a bull superimposed next to them.
Real sensitive, Brooks. Real sensitive.

I totally neglected to mention that the PBR event is on August 28-29 in Ontario, CA. Tickets start as low as $10.

I always root for the bull, bullfighting or rodeo. I hope to see more stories like this.
Here’s a great way to avoid getting crushed or gored by a bull or trampled by a horse: Stop getting them mad at you. IF you’re looking for sympathy because you were hurt or killed by one of these animals, well, wtf, what the hellwere you doing fighting a fucking bull? You probably deserve a horn in the anus.

I love it! Kill more of those torturing idiots that tie their testicles and keep them locked up.
Bulls were meant to roam, not be kept in chains by humans.
I love these stories, same as when that idiot Steve Irwin took a spike through the heart and the Lion broke up Siegfried and Roy’s little party.

The only thing that makes me sad about this story is that the bull didn’t KILL EVERYONE in the arena that was there to watch HIM die in the first place! I am from NY but all of a sudden became a Bulls fan! Too soon? Too bad! I have NO sympathy for anyone that got hurt there regardless of sex, age, religion. I don’t discriminate!

This story makes me smile.

Good grief, it’s the 21rst century; Spain needs to wake up from their medieval slumber and maybe consider that bullfighting isn’t as cool as they once thought it was. Macho retards.

Teasing animals is not brave. True, is stupid and not human!
