USC FOOTBALL PLAYERS START RACIST FACEBOOK GROUP: We’ve known for some time now what USC football players want, USC football players get - even if it’s a Facebook group called “White Power” that features a photo of a black baby in handcuffs with the caption “arrest black babies before they become criminals.”

The DAILY TROJAN reports USC linebacker Clay Matthews started the group, which as Deadspin duly notes “isn’t for the faint of heart,“ and fellow USC football-playing funsters Brian Cushing, Dallas Sartz, David Deckas and David Buehler also signed up to join in the wacky hijinks. The group’s description written by Matthews & Co.: “This group is not for the faint of heart. All members are athletes of Caucasion (sic) descent. DISCLAIMER: In no way are the following memebers (sic) intolerant of others, we are just doing our duty of protecting the Arian (sic) brotherhood.”
Looks like Pete Carroll forgot to install a spellcheck for the linebacker meeting room blackboard.
The D-T also reports an athletic department source had the good sense to say the group “was a joke and had no serious purpose.”
Actually, I think the “athletic department source” was mixed up on that one - he was actually referring to Reggie Bush’s stepfather.
