Alan Smith of the NATIONAL ENQUIRER reports this week, via on the record sources, that Dale Earnhardt, Jr., was allegedly responsible for breaking up the marriage of former University of Kentucky football player Tommy Cook.
(On-Record Claim: Former UK cheerleader divorced Cook for Dale, Jr.)
Cook, who recently joined the coaching staff at UK as a graduate assistant, divorced former wife and childhood sweetheart Amy Reimann in 2008 after less than two years of marriage.
Bo Mallette, who was best man at Cook’s wedding to Reimann, claimed on the record to the Enquirer that Earnhardt and Reimann had a relationship while she was still married to Cook:
“Amy got involved with Dale Earnhardt while she was still married to Tommy. Their marriage didn’t even last two years.”
Cook’s father, Tommy, Sr., also told the Enquirer:
My son’s not talking about this. All I can say is that your (Enquirer) story’s true. Amy and Dale have been involved for awhile.
My boy’s over it, he’s moved on. But what happened between Amy and Dale was wrong.
The Enquirer reports that Earnhardt met Reimann while “doing interior design work at his home” and that Reimann, a former cheerleader at the Univ. of Kentucky, and her mother both “hung up” on calls made by the Enquirer seeking comment.
Reimann is reportedly still “dating” Earnhardt and has been spotted at “several” NASCAR races.

Dale Jr has stated in a previous interview that his greatest fear is “divorce”. If this story is accurate, I really hope marriage is not in his future because if this is the respect he gives other people’s marriages, marriage is clearly not for him. He does not have the maturity or morals for marriage. I think Enquire might need to get up to speed on their reporting! This almost sounds like similar info from 1-2 years ago when a young lady was doing some work for Dale that was also married. She did have interest in Dale but it was to my understanding all one sided on her part and Dale even kepted a bit of distance from her. For all those saying “you do get involved with married women” you are all wrong. I am divorced and I am emptying my pocket every month for the next 10 years to pay her bills “while she goes to school” by court order.
