Tragedy my friends has struck the world of women’s professional tennis.
No, Billie Jean King’s gender re-assignment plan is still full steam ahead. But I regret to inform you of some very, very tragic news emanating out of Romania.
The lovely Simona Halep, who recently busted out as an Internet phenomenon thanks to an SbB post a few weeks ago, told a Romanian sports website recently that she is going to have breast reduction surgery later this year.
PROSPORT.RO broke the story earlier this month, which not coincidentally came after we posted nearly year-old photos of her that soon swept around the world. (Google her if you’re wondering.)
Here’s the funky translation of Halep’s comments from the Romanian site:
“I do not believe that physical appearance has an effect on performance, so I help with anything in the sport. My mind bust when for me to go and even if the land would not be sporting, I would have felt very good.
“Inconvenience me, it’s very hard with them. It’s a weight in addition to confound me speed response. I can not go on very well. Shoot me down. Nothing in life is not like me even though sport was not all I was doing surgery, revealing Halep. Surgical intervention should take place last year, but probably will use it in autumn, because the postponement might cause problems in the column.”
A big boob intervention? Sounds like what I just flipped past on the Hampton Inn PPV.
Given Halep’s current age of 17, there’s a decent chance that her breasts would grow even larger than they already are. (Along with women’s tennis TV ratings.) So some of you out there probably think she made the right decision.
But since you’re *reading* SbB … yeah, who am I kidding.

Wow, this is really a shame.. Others pay big bucks to get somewhere near this shape, and those gifted by nature don't want to accept the gift.
As another commenter mentioned: performance enhancing surgery should be banned like doping. Suspension until restoration …
Anyway I assume this surgery will backfire and end her professional tennis career. So let's hope for her she makes up her minds or has other talents (besides the existing three, including tennis).
(and generally breast reduction to anything less than a G-cup should be forbidden… ;o)

Well it is perfectly up to her. I have played tennis and can see some inconvenience . But once you are a pro it is not that bad, after all most touring pros, women, don't stay past their 30's. So from 30 to however long she lives she will, have reduced breast. She may only go a cup smaller which is still attractive for her. large breast,playing tennis are a good combo….imagine the strain on her back. they will get bigger or gain more fatty tissue as she ages so why not.?

For anyone who has known women who have had breast reductions, it's a pretty ugly procedure. The results aren't pretty, regardless of how many cup sizes down a woman goes.
Shame. Oh well. I guess there are more important things in life.

She should get a second opinion before going through with any reduction. However, I don't mean a medical second opinion. Instead, Simona should try to talk to another fairly large chested tennis player, namely Serena Williams. Simona may be larger than Serena, but it's not by that much. Serena has shown that big boobs won't stop a great tennis player from succeeding.
Also, Simona should keep them because she can make some serious cash. It's unlikely that she'll be a multiple Grand Slam winner. Most of the great female tennis players were contending for major tournament titles and ranked within the top 50 at the age of 17. I know many have given Anna Kournikova a hard time for just capitalizing off of her looks, but if you've got it, why not cash in on your assets.

Simona, i know you think it is necessary to reduce them to gain extra speed, but trust me it won't make an ounce of difference. I had a friend that got a breast reduction just last year for the same reason and there was no difference at all. So for the sake of us all PLEASE PLEASE don't do it.

I’m guessing she’s already had the surgery by now. I’m just now seeing this article. Many women would kill for breast like that and she’s going to have someone slice them up. That truly is a slap to the face of god. To all the women who have big boobs, embrace them or at least let me embrace them. Big boobs are a gift from god, not a burden. Reducing them won’t have a positive affect on your life, it will be negative. Simona is probably 18 by now, but even if she isn’t, it’s not a crime to find a 17 year old physically attractive. In texas, the age of consent is 17 and about half the states in america have a age of consent that is 17 or under. RoB68, you obviously have no intelligence or you have a young hot daughter and don’t like the attention she gets from guys. “A lot” of women do not pay to be Simona’s pre-op size, they pay to be her AFTER her surgery. C cup is the average breast implant/breast reduction size. I know plenty of women who would want to look like Simona after surgery, not before. Her post surgery body is more desirable for women. So all you men can go f*** yourself with your tiny dicks.
