Video: Titans Owner Bud Adams Flipping The Bird

*UPDATE*: We’ve added video of Bud Adams’ (double) bird flipping after the jump. After watching Adams in the clip, I’ll have what he’s having.

I think it’s also safe to assume now that Adams will be punished in some way by the NFL’s league office.

Jim Wyatt of the NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN reports today that during the Tennessee Titans win over the Buffalo Bills at LP Field in Nashville, Titans Owner Bud Adams was excited. So excited that he made an obscene gesture in the direction of the Bills’ sideline.

(Photo is an obscene gesture, so if you click through, you’ve been warned)

Wyatt: “The 86-year-old owner made an appearance on the sideline in the closing minutes, and even did a little dance as the Titans capped a 41–17 victory. Then he turned toward the Buffalo sideline and gave the Bills the middle finger. Make that two middle fingers — Adams was using both hands.”

Wyatt’s report references Adams’ gesture coming from the sidelines.

Should Bud Adams be fined, reprimanded by NFL for his double bird?

This afternoon I received a photo of Adams also flipping the double bird, but from his luxury box - earlier in the same game.

And here’s the video, courtesy of reader iPhone4idiots:

So now it’s documented that Adams flipped the double bird twice during the game, which is a delightful development if you ask me.

Now the question is, will Adams be fined and/or reprimanded by the NFL’s league office? Without the photo evidence, perhaps he wouldn’t have been. But with this picture, you have to believe the league is going to do something. Though I hope it isn’t too over-the-top.

I’m an old school AFL guy, having grown up in Kansas City. I love personalities like Adams, Ralph Wilson and even Al Davis. They spice things up, keep it interesting. But an obscene gesture during a game in public view (twice!) is a no-no. Certainly a player or coach would be docked heavily for such an action, so I expect the same will apply to Adams.

Best part of this whole story? NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was at the game with Adams today. Musta happened in the box when Roge hit the can.

This sorry excuse for a NFL team deserved to be flipped off.

What do you think I was doing at my TV every time they showed that wimp of a coach Dick Juron?

He reminds me of Hans Moleman on The Simpsons

I felt the same way by the end of the game, at least he did it in the safty of the box. Anyway he is just trying to keep up with Wilson(senile) Al Davis (crazy) and himself.

KP, yes, adults get to do all sorts of fun things and not be punished for it.

Unless, that is, that adult happens to be an owner of a franchise within a private corporation which guards its public image tirelessly. And said adult does something that society has deemed inappropriate in front of a camera.

He’ll get a fine, and he deserves it.

By the way, what kind of pathetic piece of sh*t feels the need to flip off the Bills? Jesus f***ing Christ, does he drive by the Special Olympics and moon them?

Seriously? That’s just rude…… what happened to professionalism? And don’t think your team is something special…. they are simply having a good season but don’t fret they will be back to the shitter next year :-)

Except Houston DID NOT support him or the team. After T.O. taunting the fans, Bud wasn’t the only one giving the finger. I just wish Finnegan would’ve went helmet to helmet on no show T.O. Buffalo and T.O. deserved it. So grow up cry babies.

SI88. Houston did support the ungrateful SOB. We gave him what he wanted, an updated Astrodome. We are still paying off the debt and will be for the next ten years. Actually, I am glad he is gone. I rather have an owner like Bob McNair who supports the fans, listens to us and is classy, not like the finger shooting old douchebag. He looked pretty ridiculous. It is what Houstonians expect from the old fart!

The “updated Astrodome” was still falling apart. And a more than half empty stadium doesn’t count as “support”. And Joel honestly, what youth is going to look up to anyone who is 300yrs. old?

true, the Dome was still falling apart, however, it was Adams that wanted the renovations and he got exactly what he asked for; as far as a half empty stadium, you think that might have something to do with Adams announcing the team leaving? Of course noone showed after that….

I guess the Houston fans lack of support for the Oilers had something to do with the NFL awarding the Texans franchise to Houston???? Your statement about lack of support for the Oilers holds no water otherwise the NFL would not have awarded a new franchise to a city that did not support their previous team. Enjoy your fool owner. Watch your back, LP field may be getting to old for the old fart and he may threaten to move the team from Nashville.

KP you must be a total uneducated idiot. You bash Tennessee (the state)and Titans fans because of what Bud Adams did? That would be like me saying everyone in the state your from is stupid, like you, which I wouldn’t do.

Well, I guess that’s another black eye for the NFL, coming from the team that had its most famous QB murdered, and his wife died earlier this season. BTW, Adams was fined $250,000 by the NFL. Maybe he can donate half of it to the killer of Steve McNair, and half to the family of Buffalo native and Bills fan, NBC’s Tim Russert, who died in June 2008.

    Hey,

I wanted to sell middle foam fingers to raise money for a Nashville charity. I’ve gotten no help from local radio stations to promote it as they are Titan sponsors. Anyone else think this is a good idea? If so please comment on the YouTube video I did mentioning it and show Top 10 ways to give the finger - dedicated to the local station.

Thanks - it was a fun week
