In 2005 the school named the court at Thompson-Boling Arena after the coach, coining it “The Summitt”. Tiffany Carpenter, director of public relations for UT athletics, to the MARYVILLE (TN) DAILY TIMES: “There have been no discussions of changing the court name or her name.”

Let’s just hope the couple has the good sense not to drag the young, impressionable Smokey into this.
