NO ONE GETS BETWEEN MELO AND HIS HOT DOG ROLLERS: The ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS reports on some poor sap who had the audacity to ask Carmelo Anthony for an autograph outside a mini-mart - and was body slammed by a member of Anthony’s entourage for his *brazen* behavior.
Brandon James Herrera asked for Anthony’s autograph on the night of March 18, and instead of Anthony responding, a member of Melo’s posse, someone named Rahchine Craig, told Herrera to get lost.
The police report noted that Herrera then “told Carmelo he is a ‘punk’ and began a verbal argument with the suspect.” Later Craig followed the 19-year-old Herrera into the convenience store and “punched, pushed and slammed the victim onto the floor.” Craig is charged with misdemeanor assault, while Anthony wasn’t charged with a crime.
Anthony was asked about the incident Friday night after the Nugs slugged out Dallas and said, “We beat Dallas tonight. I’m not talking about that. We beat Dallas tonight. That’s all I’m worried about.“
