Laker Girl Whitney Once A Celtics Cheerleader

Most sports fans will tell you that it’s sacrilege to switch allegiances from one team to another in the same sport.

Whitney Lakers Celtics Cheerleader

But does that same rule apply to cheerleaders?

Meet Whitney, a first-year Laker girl and UCLA grad who used to cheer for the Boston Celtics.

From her Celtics bio:

What is your favorite season and why?

Summer…I love going to the beach and being outside.

If you could spend the day with anyone in the world, past or present, who would it be?

My mom because she is the most genuine person I know and she is constantly inspiring me.

Who is your favorite basketball player and why?

Bill Walton…he dominated while playing at UCLA (my alma mater) and won the 1986 NBA Championship with the Celtics.

We can presume that Whitney, a California native who lists surfing as one of her hobbies, made the trek to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of being an actress as opposed to being a cautionary tale of team loyalty. However, could the Lakers’ harboring of such a turncoat have had a hand in the Lakers’ woes in these NBA finals?

Thanks to BALL DON’T LIE, via HOT CLICKS, for the heads-up. It must be nice to have two favorite teams, and it must be great to have both of them in the finals. I guess blondes do have more fun.
