GOLF, MUSIC HIT ROCK BOTTOM AT BUICK OPEN TOUR STOP: John Daly proved that if a Tiger-less PGA Tour stop falls in the Woods, break out the Coors Light, cigarettes and really, really bad music and everything will be just fine.

Long John was the center of attention at Michigan’s Buick Open last week, partly because of his play (he finished a season-best 16th), and who he was houseguesting with - Kid Rock (who followed Daly in a beer cart on Sunday):

In between bumming a couch in Rock’s Pam Anderson/Borat-free abode, Daly told the media last week that he *sang* on one of the tracks for Rock’s new album: “I’m going into Kid Rock’s studio to watch him finish his album. It’s been great staying with him this week. It’s been real peaceful, he’s a laid back guy and we’ve been hanging out and talking and listening to his new album. It’s (the album) unbelievable.

“I don’t know if he wants me to tell you anything but he’s got one helluva country song that’s on it … I just yelled (background vocals) on it. He got about three or four more songs to go (before he’s finished). When I did my album it wasn’t nothing as serious as that. Kid’s a lot better golfer than I’m a guitar player.”

After hearing Rock’s last release, we’re not so sure about that big fella.
