The PALM BEACH POST reports that a football employee with the University of Miami was fired for having child pornography on his work computer.

Football Sports Information Director Rick Korch was relieved of his duties when school technicians discovered the disturbing images on his office computer. And he would have gotten away with his perverted passion, had he not complained about his computer having problems.

According to a Coral Gables police search warrant that was executed on Feb. 25, Korch made a request of university technicians that his computer be checked because it was running slowly.

Korch provided his user name and password to university technician Alberto Perez, who discovered files in the computer of sexually-explicit material, according to the search warrant. Included in the files was a video of a man having sex with a “prepubescent female” and images revealing “scantily clad females who appeared to be between the ages of 10 and 15 years old in sexual type poses.”

Under a folder titled “Season Recaps,” university technicians found other images of children engaged in sexual conduct. According to police, one child was estimated to be between 6 and 8 years old.

And CBS 4 MIAMI reports that in addition to Korch’s computer, police also “removed hundreds of CDs and DVDs, floppy disks, more than two dozen video tapes and other computers.”

No charges have yet been filed against the 52-year-old Korch, who served as Miami’s SID since 2004. Before that, Korch spent nine years as media director for the Jaguars, and also served stints as editor-in-chief of Pro Football Weekly and public relations assistant with the Dolphins.

So, you guys better check your own office computers to see if any of Rick’s collections were left behind.
