The NATIONAL ENQUIRER reports this week that Tiger Woods has been cheating on his wife Elin Nordegren with a 34-year-old “New York party girl” named Rachel Uchitel.

In the Enquirer’s Dec. 7 issue, Michael Glynn reports that Woods’ alleged brunette mistress has a “reputation for dating married celebrities” and has had trysts with Woods in New York, Las Vegas and Australia, where Woods recently played in the Australian Masters.

It was at Woods’ hotel in Melbourne where the Enquirer confronted Uchitel about the relationship.

When confronted, Rachel insisted she was in Melbourne on business and denied carrying on an affair with Woods. Rachel also claimed that she’d traveled to Australia with a boyfriend. In a later conversation however, she admitted to THE ENQUIRER she had lied about going to Australia with a boyfriend.
Glynn also reports that Uchitel admitted “she had met Tiger on two different occasions.“
The Enquirer reports an attorney for Woods, who is unnamed in the story, “vehemently denied an affair” but added that “the golfer may have been at the same nightclub as Rachel at some point.“
The website Blackbookmag.com has a profile on Uchitel, which includes this intro:

The NEW YORK TIMES has a piece on Uchitel that revealed her former fiance died in the 9/11 World Trade Center bombing.
Needless to say, the woman gets around (1,300 Facebook friends!). If this is true, I’m shocked, stunned and amazed that Woods would get involved outside his marriage with such a high-profile woman in New York City. You would think he would’ve at least Googled Uchitel - which would’ve indicated that a relationship with her would be nearly impossible to keep under wraps.
Amazing that the Enquirer, if this story is true, scooped the ravenous NYC tabs in their own backyard.
So how did the Enquirer get tipped on the story? Probably through a connection with the mag’s sister publication, Star magazine. Star previously reported that Uchitel had been carrying on an affair for months with David Boreanaz, a star on the Fox TV show Bones. Boreanaz ’s wife Jaime Bergman was pregnant during the tryst, and he reportedly called Uchitel from the delivery room as Bergman was giving birth.
The Enquirer reports in the Woods piece that Uchitel has since dumped Boreanaz and is now devoted to Woods.
What a heart warming story.

I find it hard to believe all of this junk written about Tiger and his family. The world loves to read this trash. I have never purchased the Nation Enguirer or and tabloid for exactly this reason. The problem here is that he is put on a pedestal and all young children look up to him and will think that his infedelity is what is normal. Tiger should come clean and explain that his wife was chasing him with a golf club, and he ran into the tree not paying attention to his driving. The cuts and bruises came from the golf club before he ever hit the tree. Why else was his wife outside at 2:25am and not in the house with the children. It was fun and now it’s over, but if his wife decides to stay, it will be a distraction to his game as his wife will have a hard time getting over this incident. Atheletes should realize that this happens, but it is blown up depending on who the person is and what has happened.
I believe that alcohol was not involved and that he was unconcious when he hit the tree, but not talking to the police and hiring a lawyer, will make the drama that much more confusing.

Remember….no one is perfect! I am not saying that I think Tiger “stepped out on his wife”, you know how tabloids love to create ficticious stories sometimes and in turn, it starts trouble for the ones written about. This could be all that happened here and if that is what happened, I hope Tiger eventually exposes them for what they are.
Yet, on the otherhand, I really don’t know much about Tiger’s wife; she has pretty much remained secretive so it is hard to tell what kind of person she truly is. I, too, am beginning to think that maybe she was the cause of Tiger leaving at 2:30 a.m. in the morning and because he was so upset, he hit the 2 obstacles. Okay, all the rumors and BS aside, a substantial portion of the truth will come out in this case, make no mistake about that. Here are some cold, hard FACTS. Tiger was taken to the hospital after the accident. Sheriff’s deputies and emergency response personnel were witness to his injuries, not to mention hospital staff. There are various security cameras recording entrances and key points at the hospital at all times.
These cameras recorded the physical injuries to his face, including apparent scratches from fingernails as well as blunt trauma from a club like weapon. The estate, inside and out, is also blanketed in security cameras…it is more than likely though any footage that may have been useful in determining what transpired has been deleted (but is more than likely still recoverable).
There are pictures of the interior of the vehicle in question - with no airbags deployed or blood on the steering wheel, dashboard, or windshield to indicate impact with those items caused the injuries to the victim’s face.
While a police report/interview is not mandatory in Florida for a traffic accident, you had better believe that domestic disputes and domestic violence are treated extremely seriously and investigated fully, with or without the victim’s cooperation.
The evidence thus far points to assault and battery, assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and possibly other felonious acts that will most certainly be investigated further by the sheriff’s department.

We’ll ignore whether said accident interferes with the public’s use of electricity, water for a fire, or utilitiy use OORRRRR endangered any passerbys. In any case, there might have been as ASSAULT (with or without a weapon) and an accident that could have killed some passerby instead of whacking a piece of public infrastructure.
I guarantee you this… if it was your narrow butt at your house the cops wouldn’t put up with your stalling tactics and would have played hardball with you. If your wife was sitting there with a black eye and said, “He didn’t hit me!” you wouldn’t have it so easy.

Lastly, the public vs. private life is a gray area. Maybe he should be able - as an athlete - to maintain total privacy in his personal affairs. But he isn’t just an athlete either, is he? He has taken it upon himself to be a spokesperson to society and make recommendations and endorsements. He doesn’t have to do that but he is HIGHLY REWARDED for doing so. Far above and beyond just athletics he has stepped into the limelight and trades upon it. That is how he makes MOST of his money and it was HIS CHOICE. As such, he crosses a line and makes certain sacrifices. For me, I don’t care if he wants to have sex with livestock - this is all so amusing - especially some of the brilliant remarks around here.
OTOH, if his wife wanted to remain private (which she has apparently done) and wanted to go screwing around in her marriage I would readily agree that is none of anybody’s business.
