Nancy Dillon and Corky Siemaszko of the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS reports that Elin Nordegren recently bought a house in Sweden, which has “fueled speculation (in Sweden) she might take the kids back to her homeland to start a new life far from her transgressing Tiger.”

So the $2 million dollar purchase was consumated “two weeks ago”? Woods’ car accident happened 13 days ago and the NATIONAL ENQUIRER report of his alleged affair with Rachel Uchitel hit news stands the day before the accident. Coincidence?
Since Linge indicated Nordegren had been considering the property for some time, perhaps it was a coincidence. But why would she be buying a house now with her sister?
In the past five days, Nordegren’s mother, Barbro Holmberg, has flown in from Sweden, Elin has reportedly moved out of the family home and her Mom had some sort of health issue this morning that required an ambulance to the hospital.
With the emotional tumult in her life, I’m guessing Nordegren has at some point considered returning to her homeland. That decision might’ve been a much easier one if not for the couple’s two small children. For all we know, that’s why Nordegren hasn’t left Florida for Scandinavia by now and the reason her mom decided to make a previously unscheduled visit.

Did she close two weeks ago, or just have her offer accepted two weeks ago? I don’t know much about Swedish real estate law, but I imagine buying a home there takes at least nearly as long as it does here (even with their extreme wealth).
Plus, if she started looking at it last summer, I’d say it probably is a coincidence. Perhaps the names on the title might have been different if there were never any “transgressions,” but unless Elin knew about this stuff awhile ago, I can’t see this being related.

Good for Elin. I hope she gets on with her life and is happywith her children and family in Sweden. Tiger showed his true colors when he did not attend his golf tournament that was a charity event for his foundation. Even if he couldn’t have played, he should have been there to support a cause that he supposedly cares about. If nothing else, that would have been a good p.r. move. I don’t know who is handling his p.r., but whoever it is is doing a terrible job. He should come forward like a man and speak to the many fans who have supported him so avidly through the years. They have looked up to this guy and have played a huge part in why he is enjoying such a lavish lifestyle. The more obvious conclusion is that Tiger has a sexual addiction and has for sometime extending well before his marriage. He has the resources, lifestyle, and freetime to take it to level the average addict can’t and keep it from his wife. Perhaps he thought marriage would cure him of the addiction, but it never does because a wife simply cannot satisfy a sexually addicted husband. buying a home in Sweden takes all of about 30 minutes. Worked with someone who has Swedish wife and bought a home over there in addition to his home in the USA. the buyer and seller sit down (no agents), settle on a price then go to the sole real estate agency in the entire country and settle the paperwork and all done in 30 minutes with new owner having the keys.

Maybe your acquaintance worked it out directly with the seller, like it could be done in the US as well, and paid cash, without a mortgage (they have those in Sweden too). It is completely inaccurate that there is a “sole real estate agency in the entire country”, there are tons of real estate agencies all over Sweden, which by the way is a big country with lots of different big and small cities and regions (look up a map of Sweden). Swedish real estate agencies play a big role in the buying / selling process.

It is just terrible that this marriage has to be played out in public. Elin, as a young wife and mother, I know it is going to be very difficult for you to trust him again, how do you begin to heal yourself? How do you begin to love again? And what about sexual transmitted diseases? At what point do you take a step back and evaluate. No amount of heavy counseling can undo what was done for such a long time. They both need time away from each other to re-evaluate what is important to each. They might get back together in time, but for now, give each other the space you deserve as people, No amount of money can buy a happy soul, as you can see from Tiger’s behaviour, and yes temptation is always around the corner because of your money and stature in society, but were you really happy everytime you were with these women and then came home to your wife and mother of your children, how would you feel if someone treated your daughter they way you are treating her mother. If the love is over, be a man and walk away, it is ok to do so, you would be free to pursue the life that you want, only this time it would be an open book and no one is hurt and no one is surprise, after all you still have the money and women will always, always be around!!
