The second Tom Brady-Gisele Bündchen wedding went down in Costa Rica last night, and when you mix lawless Central America with the lawless NFL, something’s bound to go down. So it’s not a huge surprise that the power couple’s ceremony was interrupted by gunfire.
No worries, straight men with a crush on Bündchen, and “straight” men with a mancrush on Brady; the happy couple is fine. The trouble occurred when the security detail came across paparazzi in the bushes, and fired on them as they attempted to escape. You know, the usual celebrity wedding stuff.
The photographers, Yuri Cortez and Carlos Aviles, were hiding in the brush near Gisele’s beachfront home, when located by the pair’s security guards. They were marched up to the villa and ordered to turn over their cameras. They refused, and made a break for it in their SUV.
One of the guards fired a shot, shattering the rear window of the vehicle and bouncing off the windshield.
“I couldn’t believe it when I realized what they had done,” Cortez told INF Daily. “I could have lost my life for the sake of some pictures that Gisele didn’t want published. Are they insane?”
And here’s the shot they were able to get away with. As you can see, clearly well worth risking lives.
