For a 30-year old, Ashton Kutcher has worn a lot of different
trucker hats in life. He was first thrust into the spotlight as a male model before taking off after joining the cast of That 70’s Show. Ashton then used his television success to branch out into movies, produce his own prank show on MTV, and land his own cougar, Demi Moore.
Now, for his next trick, Kutcher is going back to his Iowa-born roots. No, he’s not making meth in the middle of an Iowa cornfield (at least, I don’t think he is), he’s getting back into football. Ashton played wide receiver for his high school football team, and now he’s taken off the pads and replaced them with a clipboard.
From the LOS ANGELES TIMES:
The paparazzi have a new target: North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake and its new assistant freshman football coach, actor Ashton Kutcher.
Kutcher decided to help coach the Wolverines freshman team last week because he’s friends with its coach, Scott Wood.
The paparazzi, armed with long-range lens, were at Harvard-Westlake’s freshman game last Friday.
No doubt they were hoping for a shot of Ashton talking to a cheerleader so they could splash it on the cover of the NATIONAL ENQUIRER. “Demi Distraught After Ashton Trades Her In For A Lower Model!”
I have to say, this is a pretty cool thing of Ashton to do. I have no idea if he actually knows what he’s doing, or if he’s only doing it because he can’t land a movie role, but I’m sure his players are enjoying having him around. If nothing else, there will be a lot more girls in the stands at freshman football games this fall.
