SOCCER PLAYER SUBJECT TO RACIST TAUNTS DURING GAME: While Michael Vick supporters are busy playing the fake race card, we’ve found a case of genuine racism in sports (monkey chants on the field?!).

African-American soccer player DaMarcus Beasley heard such insults during a European Champions League qualifying match on Tuesday. Beasley, a midfielder for Scottish club Glasgow Rangers, was the target of racist rants from fans in the game played in the country of Montenegro (a little ironic, perhaps?).
Beasley said he’d heard the chants in a few games years before, but is concerned that such behavior still exists in the soccer stands: “It sickens to hear these chants, but when you are on the pitch, you have to try to blank it out.”

And Beasley blanked the brain-dead bellowings the best way he could - by scoring the game’s only goal in the Rangers’ victory over host club FK Zeta.
